Skye Primary School
A Harmonious Transformation
Skye Primary School, located in Skye Victoria, recently underwent a modernisation, funded by the Victorian Government. The project involved refurbishing the administration areas and constructing a state-of-the-art gym suitable for competitive basketball and netball.
The gym and administration block were designed by the Architects at AOA Christopher Peck to enhance the school's community presence. Construction was handled by 4 Dimensions, who installed acoustic products such as Cewood, DecorZen, DecorArti, DecorSlat, and DecorStyle, offering excellent sound management.
Notably, Decor Systems produced panels featuring the school emblem, reflecting the school's strong pride. These panels were made using painted Dulux and Tasmanian Smartlook finished DecorStyle panels, precisely cut and assembled in the Sydney warehouse for easy on-site installation.
Cewood stands out as a significant feature in the gymnasium, lining the large walls with its natural wood wool colour, complementing the timber finishes and providing a textured contrast. Cewood's non-combustible nature and high NRC rating make it an ideal choice for educational environments.
In the administration block, DecorSlat was employed to separate various offices subtly, creating a pleasant and productive atmosphere with warm timber and well-placed lighting.
Decor Systems were thrilled to work on this education project that brings a renewed sense of energy and pride to the students and extended community.
