Christ Church Grammar School
Increased attention is being given to noise control in the learning environments and the strategic use of perforated noise-control panel systems is a key method to control such.
Throughout Christ Church Grammar School, superb outcomes have been met acoustically and aesthetically.
Designed by With Architecture Studio (formerly Donaldson and Warn) and constructed by PS Structures, this $22m project features large quantities of DecorLux perforated acoustic fibre-cement and DecorZen perforated acoustic timber panels.
A core goal of the project was to consolidate and reduce the physical footprint of the existing Preparatory School which is currently dispersed across the campus. The new development unifies all the existing Preparatory School learning spaces into a single building configured over three levels with general learning areas on the lowest and uppermost levels, separated by a middle plane of administrative and specialist learning spaces.
The new Preparatory School will reflect the diversity of the learning community and will be a modern, functional, efficient learning space that reflects the School’s values and captures the vitality of early years’ education. Decor Systems is delighted to have been involved in this prestigious education project.
