VSBA Bundle A Schools
The Victorian Government are building new primary schools as part of their commitment to deliver community infrastructure on school sites. Each school provides sporting facilities accessible to members of the community.
The VSBA Bundle A project includes Ngarri Primary School, Manor Lakes; Lollypop Creek Primary School, Werribee; Karwan Primary School, Tarneit; Thornhill Park Primary School, Rockbank; Nearnung Primary School, Tarneit; and Warringa Park School, Tarneit.
Designed by ARM Architecture and built by Hutchinson Builders, the goal of the design was to customise each school’s facility and add nuance to their identity. ARM aimed to provide a strong connection to the country, celebrate aboriginal culture and shape a positive path to reconciliation.
Cewood was installed in the gymnasium and classrooms as both walling and ceiling panels. The group 1 fire rating Cewood offers combined with its high acoustic performance, makes it the perfect choice for educational settings.
In the gymnasium, Cewood seamlessly mixes with the other wall finishes and large gym floor, creating a flow between wall and ceiling. Cewood offers a tactile interest due to its cementitious wood fibre composition.
Similarly, installed in the classrooms as a ceiling panel, the grey-coloured Cewood, complements the vibrant and busy theme of each room and adds interest through its texture.
