UniLodge Lincoln House
Decor Systems played a crucial role in the realisation of the innovative UniLodge project on Bouverie Street, Carlton. Collaborating with renowned architects, NettletonTribe, Decor Systems supplied acoustic walling and ceiling finishes that elevate the aesthetic and functional aspects of the facility.
The chosen product, custom DecorSlat Max, seamlessly integrates with the overall design, contributing to the ambience of the student accommodation.
NettletonTribe's architectural vision for the project is evident in the meticulous planning of communal spaces and the incorporation of a neutral colour palette with industrial accents and vibrant bursts of colour that pay homage to Melbourne's street art culture. The combination seamlessly connects the building with its urban surroundings.
The Bouverie Street project stands as a milestone, marking the University of Melbourne and UniLodge's inaugural Student Halls of Residence in Carlton. Comprising 579 single-occupant student apartments, the facility goes beyond mere accommodation. It embodies a thoughtful integration of a college-style living arrangement with extensive shared spaces, including lounges, kitchens, and study areas.
Each element of the design, from the double-height spaces to the integration of natural light, contributes to creating a true sense of city living and home for the students.
The project exemplifies Decor Systems' commitment to enhancing architectural spaces with functional and aesthetically pleasing acoustic solutions.
