John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School
Playful geometry for serious acoustic performance and learning.
The brief for John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School (JSRACS) was to develop a Senior Learning Centre that provided superior facilities to higher tertiary level young adults.
It required an architecture that promotes a sense of community that is founded on principles of flexibility, school community and lifelong learning.
The design solution is a finely crafted one that engages and responds to site and context and provides an interactive and dynamic interior with an open plan conducive to movement and circulation.
DecorArti was specified throughout the classrooms, helping to improve sound quality and facilitate learning. The bespoke design of the panels mimics the shape and ceiling of the building, bringing a playful element to the design.
