Concord Hospital
Concord Hospital, located in Concord NSW was originally built in 1941. The hospital has a long history of working with veterans’ communities, having been initially opened as a military hospital.
The $341 million commitment to the first stage of the Jacobs-designed hospital redevelopment, has provided Australia’s first National Centre of Veterans’ Healthcare.
Designed by Jacobs and built by Roberts Co, our panels DecorSlat and Vogl were installed in the walls and ceilings of the hospital by Brighton Australia.
The Vogl Plasterboard panels contribute to the acoustic performance of the common spaces as required, whilst also complimenting the design and overall ambience of the project.
The unique perforation pattern sparks interest and brings a sense of enjoyment to the space whilst also seamlessly integrating with the clinical aesthetic and nature of the building.
DecorSlat also featured in an office-type space within the hospital. Installed in the ceiling, the slatted panels have been fit to incorporate lighting. The timber battens integrate effortlessly with the other timber finishes in the space, offering a sense of warmth and comfort in a clinical setting.
