Key Features
Made from fibre cement, this product is mould-resistant, making it the ideal solution for outdoor and wet areas such as indoor swimming pools. Contours of Country in fibre cement is also moisture-proof. It will not rot or warp.
Whilst suitable for external environments, it should not be exposed directly to the elements.
Contours of Country in fibre cement is non-combustible, meaning it will not burn if exposed to fire. It also comes with a Group 1 Fire Certificate.
Incredible acoustic performance. Significantly reduce noise by coupling these panels with DecorSorb. Acoustic tests are available on request.
DecorLux is crafted from fibre cement, a composite material made from cement, sand, and cellulose fibres. Due to its natural composition, variations in colour, surface texture, or finish may occur.
At Decor Systems, we embrace these natural characteristics as part of the product’s unique appeal. When installed, variation between panels may be visible.
Panels should be acclimatised to the site environment for a minimum of 7 days prior to installation. For detailed guidance, please contact your local Decor Systems representative.

Projects Featuring Contours of Country
The University of Sydney has undergone an upgrade across its campuses, namely the new UoS Lecture room refurbishment - Building J02. This groundbreaking new teaching space showcases the university's dedication to pushing boundaries and embracing the future of learning. Designed by Architectus and constructed by Hansen Yuncken, it is set to redefine how students and educators interact in the modern academic environment.
Brand Architects has refurbished the Box Hill Institute's higher education campus in Melbourne, Victoria, transforming what was once a bland, under-utilised area into a vibrant and inspiring space. At the heart of this transformation is the installation of Running Water, a design from our Contours of Country range.
The Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre – also known as the Adelaide Youth Training Centre – is South Australia's only youth detention centre. Designed by Grieve Gillet Architects (formerly Totalspace Design) in collaboration with Guymer Bailey Architects, this $22 million upgrade is leading in the space of restorative practice. This unique redevelopment focuses on youth wellbeing and care. The project involves constructing two new buildings: a 12-bed accommodation unit and an education building. Additionally, it includes extending two existing buildings to add an 8-bed police custody unit and a visit centre.
Wirltu Yarlu School at the University of Adelaide underwent a culturally informed internal renovation on Level 1 of the Multi-storey Schulz and Heritage-listed Hartley Buildings. The project aimed to enhance accessibility by installing a new ramp on the existing heritage-listed balcony and creating new openings in the original solid plaster partitions. In addition to accessibility upgrades, First Nations artists collaborated to enhance the space with new feature wall panels and acoustic linings. These included custom perforated plywood in the meeting room and printed echo panels, enriching the environment with culturally significant designs.
