Wirlut Yarlu School
Wirltu Yarlu School at the University of Adelaide underwent a culturally informed internal renovation on Level 1 of the Multi-storey Schulz and Heritage-listed Hartley Buildings.
The project aimed to enhance accessibility by installing a new ramp on the existing heritage-listed balcony and creating new openings in the original solid plaster partitions.
In addition to accessibility upgrades, First Nations artists collaborated to enhance the space with new feature wall panels and acoustic linings.
These included custom perforated plywood in the meeting room and printed echo panels, enriching the environment with culturally significant designs.
