Perth Airport
An unmissable and unifying message.
The bespoke sculptures and perforated wall design at Perth Airport called "From The Skies" was designed by Penelope Forlano (Ph.D) at Forlano Design, with artwork text by Doolann Leisha Eatts, a Whukjuk/Piblenman/Nyungah woman elder.
The design, crafted from DecorArti panels and with integrated lighting, is unmissable at the Perth T1 Airport.
The messaging - "At night, again and again, the elders used to tell us Dreamtime stories, they used to show us the stars..." offers a unifying message.
In Penelope's words - "Our Aboriginal heritage is important, highly valued, and respected, taking centre stage when one first steps out of the customs area and arrives in Western Australia. Yet it reminds us that we have all sat around telling stories around the fire, under the stars. Here, in this place, we value and respect our cultural differences and our commonalities."
