Narrogin Health Service
The design of the Ambulatory Care's western wing is a finely detailed steel-and-glass box sheathed in a chequerboard shading system made of aluminium.
The rich and vibrant colouring of the shading device reflects the hues of the local landscape and the light vibrates of its surface. The chequerboard facade is an abstraction of stacked hay bales in the region.
The material palette is honest, durable, and robust, drawing on anodised aluminium, glass, steel, and timber detailing in the foyer. Once again, homage is paid to the flora and fauna of the site and region.
Decor Systems collaborated early on in the design to provide samples of veneer that complemented the flora and fauna and overall colour scheme. The remoteness of the location proved no challenge thanks to our Decor360 process.
