Damascus Event Centre
Law Architects have completed the Stage 6 Damascus Events Centre for Damascus College in Ballarat. This project is a significant milestone in their longstanding partnership with the college, designed to support modern learning, enhance curriculum delivery, and improve student outcomes.
The two-storey building seamlessly integrates with the bush environment and aligns with the college's sustainability goals. The purpose-built event and exam space provides future-proof infrastructure for the college and the community.
The Damascus Events Centre's versatile gathering space accommodates school assemblies, musical performances, exams, dinners, and more. Its flexibility has already surpassed expectations, leading to increased usage for various functions.
Decor Systems, through the inclusion of DecorZen and DecorSlat acoustic panels, played a crucial role in enhancing the venue's functionality. These panels not only absorb excess sound, adding flexibility to the space but also contribute to the aesthetic appeal.
The timber finish seamlessly blends with the landscape, fostering a harmonious connection with nature and adding warmth to the environment. This integration not only ensures acoustic excellence but also enhances the overall visual design of the venue.
