Designing with Purpose: A Perfect Blend of Form and Function
In the heart of our design journey, collaboration with renowned architect Clarke Hopkins Clarke brought forth an exciting challenge and an opportunity to innovate. The vision was clear – a sleek, perforated ply aesthetic that not only captivates but also meets the stringent Group 1 fire rating standards.
Working closely with CHC, Decor Systems delved into the intricacies of achieving the desired perforated ply look without compromising on fire safety. Traditional fire-treated ply only offered a Group 2 rating, falling short of the stringent requirements.
In the pursuit of a fire-safe yet aesthetically pleasing solution, our team proposed the innovative SmartLook Laminate in Hoop Pine. This material not only met the design intent of the perforated ply but also secured a coveted Group 1 fire rating. The decision not only satisfied safety standards but also proved to be a cost-effective alternative to traditional ply options.
Why SmartLook Laminate in Hoop Pine?
- Aesthetic Appeal The SmartLook Laminate in Hoop Pine perfectly replicates the desired perforated ply appearance, adding a touch of sophistication to the design.
- Fire Safety Achieving a Group 1 fire rating, our solution ensures the safety of the space without compromising on the visual appeal.
- Cost-Effective Surpassing expectations, the SmartLook Laminate option turned out to be a budget-friendly alternative compared to the initially considered ply option.
The project seamlessly combines aesthetics with safety, ensuring that the original design vision is not compromised. By opting for SmartLook Laminate, we not only met the required fire safety standards but also brought in cost savings, making the project economically viable.
Decor Systems takes pride in delivering solutions that push boundaries and exceed expectations. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence.
