At Decor Systems, we understand that green certification and compliance can be overwhelming. This article details how our range is green-certified.
We are GECA-certified
At Decor Systems, we are committed to weaving a sustainable approach into all that we do and our GECA certification is proof of that.
GECA certification provides assurance to you, our customers, that the purchases you make have a lower impact on the environment and human health and are ethically made and fit for purpose.
Other green certifications
As well as GECA certification, some Decor Systems products also have FSC® and LEED certifications too.

How our products are green-certified
DecorTrend, DecorZen, DecorStyle, DecorEagle, DecorLini, DecorTone, DecorSlat, DecorArti, DecorMilano and DecorTile are most often comprised of an MDF substrate and a timber veneer finish.
The diagram below shows how each element carries its own certification. Your order is then made to your specification at our factory in Sydney where our sustainable first processes have awarded us GECA certification.
Our Vogl Perforated Plasterboard is made from gypsum, a soft sulphate mineral composed of calcium sulphate dihydrate. We purchase Vogl from state-of-the-art producers in Germany and it is then dispatched from our factory in Sydney. Vogl is LEED-certified.
How to earn Green Star points from Decor Systems' specified products
Products that have achieved certification through one of the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GECA) Recognised Product Certification Schemes can be used by project teams to achieve points in some Green Star credits.
An example of this is the Sustainable Products Credit in the Green Star - Design & As-Built and Green Star – Interiors Rating Tools.
Decor Systems products are GECA certified under the following code: GECA 04-2011 v2 - 'Panel Boards' - Level A GBCA recognition.
Further, you may need to include details of FSC® certifications too. Additional certifications are available. Just get in touch with a Decor Systems team member to discuss.
Please note that in order to achieve Green Star Certification, all projects go through an independent assessment process. The final decision for all ratings rests with the Certified Assessors.
