Telstra’s Sydney HQ at 400 George Street offers a state-of-the-art customer technology hub. The $112 million refurbishment transformed the heritage old Darrel Lea Building into a new collaboration spaces for Telstra staff and guests and demonstrated the company’s commitment to innovation.

The project included a world-class discovery store by Geyer and Downstream. The store design delivered an environment where physical and digital worlds come together and customers can move seamlessly between them. “It’s a great way to discover the ‘connected life’ our innovative technology and services can provide,” according to Telstra.

Decor Systems Vogl perforated plasterboard ceiling was chosen for this project for its acoustic quality and its smart seamless look. The circular design of Vogl fits in perfectly with the digital theme of the store interiors.

The Discovery Store concept was a major step in Telstra’s retail evolution, followed by other stores, all with leading edge designs and collaborative technologies.
