Hervey Bay Retail Centre
The Spotlight Property Group (SPG) has set a new benchmark in large-format retailing with the development of SPG Hervey Bay in Queensland. This dynamic mixed-use hub combines retail and health services, offering over 22,000 square metres of floor space across a sprawling three-hectare site. The standout feature of this development is the creation of two distinct buildings seamlessly integrated into a unified precinct.
Designed by The Buchan Group and constructed by ADCO Constructions, Decor Systems proudly contributed to this significant commercial project. Acoustics play a vital role in creating a comfortable environment for customers and staff in large retail spaces. Proper acoustic solutions ensure sound is well-managed while enhancing the overall experience. These solutions must not only perform effectively but also withstand high traffic and adhere to strict fire safety regulations, requiring a Group 1 rating or non-combustible materials.
Decor Systems supplied DecorSlat Ali—an innovative aluminium batten system to meet these demands. This heavy-duty, non-combustible solution combines exceptional durability with a sleek design for internal spaces. The clip-on system simplifies installation, saving time and costs for contractors and builders. With a lead time of just 4–6 weeks, DecorSlat Ali keeps even the tightest projects on schedule.
For superior acoustic performance, pairing DecorSlat Ali with an acoustic backing like Decorsorb achieves an impressive NRC rating of 0.90, ensuring comfort and acoustic excellence in any space.
DecorSlat Ali is as practical as it is stylish. Its maintenance-free nature ensures lasting beauty, making it perfect for hard-to-reach areas like building facades. DecorSlat Ali seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetic appeal and is available in woodgrain or powder-coated finishes.
The SPG Hervey Bay Retail Centre exemplifies innovative design and functional excellence, setting a new standard for large-format retail spaces. With solutions like DecorSlat Ali, Decor Systems continues to deliver high-performance, durable, and aesthetically stunning products tailored to commercial projects' unique demands. This collaboration underscores the importance of integrating acoustic comfort and long-lasting materials to create spaces that elevate functionality and customer experience.
