Designed by Cox Architects, the new Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) building is the latest addition to Prince of Wales Hospital. This new research facility includes seven floors of laboratories, clinical research space, a cafeteria and an auditorium, all there to promote synergy between the researchers and doctors.
The master plan for this was executed by Cox Richardson, and built by Richard Crookes Constructions and Oz Commercial Interiors. Decor Systems worked in close collaboration with all parties from design right though to project completion.
Decor Systems contribution to the new facility are large DecorTrend, DecorStyle and DecorArti panels in a Hoop Pine. This slotted acoustic system is used on the walls and the ceilings extensively throughout the whole development, including a large feature wall spelling out “Discover, conquer, cure.”
The Decor Acoustic Panels are an integral part of the interior schematics. Featured all through the project, in multiple areas, they are an outstanding feature in this innovative project.
Opened jointly by the Federal and State Minister for Health, this building is a beacon of hope for the future and hopefully and incubator for a cure. Decor Systems is proud to have contributed so vitally to this research institute.
