The design of the Ambulatory Care's western wing is a finely detailed steel-and-glass box sheathed in a chequerboard shading system made of aluminum. The shading devices rich and vibrant colouring reflects the hues of the local landscape, the light vibrates of its surface. The chequerboard facade is an abstraction of stacked hay bales in the region.
The material palette is honest, durable, and robust, drawing on anodised aluminum, glass, steel, and timber detailing in the foyer. Once again, homage is paid to the flora and fauna of the site and region.
Decor Systems collaborated early on in the design to provide samples of veneer that complemented the flora and fauna and overall color scheme. The remoteness of the location proved no challenge thanks to the Decor360 process.
