LIVERPOOL HOSPITAL CLINICAL SERVICES BLOCK 2 (CSB2)DecorTrend
The new and improved Liverpool Hospital is a design aimed at optimum clinical efficiencies, with large spacious areas connecting the internal facilities with the external landscape through glass walls, allowing for light to flow freeing into the clinic. This tertiary hospital facility, known to be one of NSW’s busiest health care environments, receives vast amounts of patients daily and needed to upgrade there amenities to encourage a healthier healing environment.
The Decor Systems team manufactured the DecorTrend panels specifically for this project, in the two different finishes required. The DecorImage Tasmanian Oak panels line the vast ceiling of the walkway, a major artery for the doctors, nurses and patients, to provide an acoustic treatment for the glass walls, a surface renowned for reverberating sound. The DecorTrend panels wrapped around the ceiling, creating a square shaped feature, enhancing the large pillars.
The DecorImage White panels were used to absorb the sound associated with the lifts and balcony, two places where noise can be an issue. The DecorTrend panels provide a clean clinical surface for the patients, and architecturally complement the decorative glass used as doors for clinical rooms.
This prestigious project was designed by HDR Rice Daubney, who aimed to create an environment of wellness, and built by Bovis Lend Lease. Our DecorTrend Panels were carefully installed by Austem Interiors Pty Ltd, after being manufactured in our Australian based production facility and delivered according to the build schedule, on time and within budget.
