Congratulations to our friends at Thomson Adsett Architects for their short-listing in the 2017 Australian Institute of Architects NSW & Newcastle Architecture Awards. Their design of the Charles Sturt University Engineering Building was shortlisted for an award in the Educational Architecture, Sustainable Architecture and the COLORBOND® Award for Steel Architecture categories.
Their design really brings together the values and uniqueness of the university and encourages the collaboration and involved learning that is seeded within their curriculum. While also making use of materials resembling regional farm and shed buildings to bring character to the project.
We are delighted to have been associated with this project, providing DecorZen acoustic panels to a number of areas within the building. We wish the team at Thomson Adsett every success for the award nominations!
The awards will be announced on Saturday 1st of July.
